In April 2019, we scooped the best use of social media award at Drapers Digital Awards for Very’s Christmas social campaign. The campaign centred on a Facebook Messenger chatbot, to help customers find a gift for a child that would help to inspire their future.
2019 got off to a good start with a win for Very for online toy retailer of the year at The Toy Industry Awards.
We kicked off 2018 by being crowned best employer at the Retail Week Awards the industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. The event, held in March, was judged by a panel of sector heavyweights including leaders from Boots, IKEA, Schuh and ASOS. The judges praised Shop Direct for setting industry-leading standards as an employer with a coordinated programme of pioneering initiatives designed to empower colleagues, support new talent and offer opportunities to young people.
In September 2018, we won the excellence in digital marketing award at Retail Week Tech awards. Very.co.uk’s multi-channel influencer campaign was recognised for the award, working with affiliate network Awin and publisher vouchercloud on a 30-day campaign that combined influencer marketing, geo targeting and cross-channel engagement.
Later in the year, we scooped three awards at the Effective Mobile Marketing awards in November. Very.co.uk, along with our agency Fetch, picked up most effective cross-screen campaign, most effective retail campaign and the coveted grand prix award for our Christmas 2017 campaign. The campaign set out to outsmart the big-spending competition by reaching consumers on their mobile screens.
And to close 2018, we won the accolade for most effective business transformation programme in customer service at the European Contact Centre and Customer Service awards. The ECCCSAs are nearly two decades old and the evening had a record 1,200 people in attendance – making it the largest, as well as the longest-running awards programme in the sector.
