In November 2014, we were awarded Best Integrated Campaign for Black Friday on Very.co.uk and Best In-House Team at the UK Search Awards, in acknowledgment of the hard work put in over the last 12 months to develop our digital marketing strategy.
In October 2014, we won Technology Team of the Year, Online Retailer of the Year and the overall award at the Retail Systems Awards, recognising our progress and innovation on our journey to world class.
Also in October 2014, we were named Online Retailer of the Year for Beauty, Perfumes & Cosmetics and also picked up the Prix D’Or at the Online Retail Awards, in conjunction with our longstanding media partner, Capture Marketing.
In September 2014, we were delighted to pick up three prestigious awards in just one day. At the UK Customer Experience Awards, we were acknowledged as offering the Best Customer Experience in Retail and Consumer Services. The judges were particularly impressed by our pioneering customer closeness programme, which is helping colleagues understand more about our customers’ lifestyles, attitudes and beliefs and enabling us to deliver easier and more personalised shopping experiences. That evening, we then went on to pick up Online Fulfilment Initiative of the Year and Multichannel Project of the Year at the Retail Week Supply Chain Awards, with our partners Arrow XL and Kewill respectively.
In July 2014, Very.co.uk was named Best Large Pureplay Etailer of the Year at the Paypal Etail Awards. This recognised the brand’s growth, scale and innovative marketing campaigns.
At the 2014 UK Digital Experience Awards in July, we and our customer contact partner, Serco, were awarded Best Digital Experience, Best Digital Team and Best Overall Digital Experience. The awards were in recognition of the innovative, market-leading webchat platform we’ve developed to better service our customers.
In June 2014, Shop Direct won Best IT Operations, Payment Project of the Year, Supply Chain and Fulfilment Excellence and the Grand Prix Winner of Winners awards at this year’s BT Retail Week Technology Awards. In the words of sponsors BT, we were acknowledged for having “taken new technologies and done something extraordinary and achieved something incredible”. Editor-in-chief of Retail Week, Chris Brook-Carter, added that Shop Direct has “carved out new opportunities for the whole of the retail sector”.
In May 2014, Shop Direct and our IT partner, IBM, picked up an Alsbridge Award for Innovation. This was for a project that we ran with interns from IBM’s Extreme Blue programme to develop ideas to gamify the shopping experience for Very.co.uk customers.
In April 2014, in conjunction with our retargeting partner, myThings, and video partner, SundaySky, we won the award for Best Brand Engagement at the Performance Marketing Awards. This recognised our collaboration on an innovative, personalised video retargeting campaign for Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com.
